Apple A17 bionic SoC to Boost the Sale of iPhone 15 Pro Duo

Apple expects a 35% improvement in power efficiency with its latest A17 Bionic chipset built on a 3nm FinFet technology process.

Power efficiency is expected to be the key feature driving the demand for a replacement among iPhone users along with the new and improved cameras and the USB-C charging port.

DigiTimes reported that Apple has bought the whole first batch of the production run for TSMC's 3nm chips, making it the only smartphone in 2023 with such a semiconductor.

Qualcomm and MediaTek lack behind in the race of innovation due to not enough proper assessment of the situation.

Samsung has already bet a lot on its 3nm technology and will keep developing it, without being at the expense of its legacy 130-65nm process.

Apple is expected to use the 3nm process for its iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

These phones are coming with a refreshed design and a periscope camera and solid-state volume and power buttons.

Highly anticipated and most awaited universal USB-C charging ports will also make a debut with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Being effectively pushed by the European nation, their version of iPhones for the whole iPhone lineup to receive USB-C ports.

Although Apple sticks with A16 Bionic chips for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus variants.
